Michelle Van Kolck – Project Facilitator and Co-Author, ANZRS
Michelle is known in the Revit community for her unwavering passion for quality content creation, Revit system design & system management. She learnt to understand the “inner-logic” of Revit from working for Wesley Benn for almost four years before assuming national and system/content development roles with Woolworths, Woods Bagot, Mirvac Design and PDT Architecture. Michelle has been leading an industry initiative for the past 2 years, with more than 100 registered members, that is focused on defining industry standards that promotes quality shared and sold Revit content across Australia and New Zealand. This project is known as ANZRS and this year she will be launching the first formal release (Version1) of the ANZRS pack at RTC. (Also known as Michelle Louw)
Belinda Hodkinson, Suters Architects – Co-Author
Belinda is currently employed as the National BIM Manager at Suters Architects. Her attention is based on the development of BIM and implementing a structured collaboration between all facets of Architecture. Her experience in Revit has been on the move since Version 4.5 with a commitment to empowering a company’s delivery from the product. She has implemented and trained staff in Revit ranging from a small office of 6 through to 170. Belinda is focused on the fully integrated practice and endeavours to achieve this greatly. She believes BIM is only the beginning of this technology enhancement in the AEC industry and can’t wait to explore what is next.
Chris Needham, C3 Consulting Solutions – Co-Author
Chris Needham is the director of C3 Consulting Solutions, a consulting firm specialising in BIM systems development and implementation. He is committed to both strategic and technical best practice, and enjoys creative problem solving.
He has worked on projects in both Australia and the United Kingdom, using his information management expertise to develop custom systems for numerous offices. Over the last six years, he has helped firms adopt BIM, and is passionate about exploiting BIM technology to its limit and sharing his findings with others.
He has trained hundreds of industry professionals across Australia, and taught Revit and AutoCAD at RMIT. He is a graduate member of the RAIA and served as Chairperson of the Victorian Revit User Group: REVIC for 2 years.
Chris has served as Partnerships Manager for the Revit Technology Conference (RTC) since the committee’s inception, and is committed to seeing best-of-breed technology, processes and policies adopted by the AECO/FM industry.
As a result of his involvement with ANZRS, he also serves as a steering committee member for the AMCA’s BIM-MEP(AUS) initiative, designed to assist MEP designers and contractors to adopt BIM more easily by using standardized practices concerning BIM content.
